Candidate Conversations: Exploring Justice, Politics, and Leadership with Yolanda Mack and Philip Singleton

I started my career learning a lot about people who are charged with crimes, and even as a prosecutor learning that there is more than one side to a story, I always look at things from both sides. I understand the importance of being fair. I think, you know, I represent a lot of people who may have even been guilty, a lot of times their frustrations were that they didn’t feel heard and when they went to court, they felt like they weren’t getting their day in court. And so I learned that a lot of times people can accept the results. They can accept, you know, the sentences if they feel like they were treated fairly and they were, they were heard.
