In the civil case, this was the state of New York and Letitia James, who’s the Attorney General of the state, bringing suit against Trump and his…his organization, his company, for alleged fraud. And they were able to get a judgment against him that the judge in the case hates Trump. The attorney general literally campaigned on the prompt of suing and attacking Trump through, like lawfair means that is how she campaigned. Then she…you know, followed through on that promise and in so doing and getting this huge judgment against Trump and his company, you know, pending this appeal, they went after a statute that even The Associated Press did an analysis, like a deep dive, and they came to the conclusion that the law in question had literally never in the history of the statute been applied the way it was to Donald Trump.
