Drug Commercials are an Annoyance

OK, hang on a bit. I’ve updated my list. Let’s see Dupixent, Tulipta, Anaspri, Zaidra, Regxulti, Bimsolex, Vraylar, Brezetree, Rugovia, Jardians, Austedo, Manjuro. Zephbaum. Vibismo, Vigard, Keytruda, Farsiga, Ozempic, Uquora, Optivo, Yervoy, and Farsenra. I don’t pronounce them all right. But who cares? That’s the updated list of prescription drugs that are being advertised on network newscasts every single night.

And the advertisements all have a very common: Theme. It shows people living a wonderful, happy, happy life with not a care.

NEAL BOORTZ

ATLANTA – It seems these days that no matter what channel you watch on tv, you’ll have some drug company selling you a drug that will “revolutionize your life.” From obesity, to psoriasis, to shingles, there’s a pill out there with a funny name that will cure it all and enable you to live the life of your dreams as you dance in the street.

Today, Boortz calls for change in adverting when it comes to these drugs and their promises for a “better life.” Find out why he’s fed up with it and why “taking a chill pill” is not an option for the Talkmaster when it comes to this subject.
